Tales of the Underbanks - 8 March 2022

Stockport Storytellers are in the news again. Individually, we entered the Tales of the Underbanks writing competition for original fiction stories relating to Stockport Underbanks. One of our authors has won the competition and four of our stories will be featured in a forthcoming Anthology.

We are looking forward to its release.

Covid Life Book - 20 September 2021

Stockport Storytellers have collaborated with Amanda Beck-McKim, an artist from Chorlton, Manchester. Through a Crowdfunding project, she has produced a book of her pictures illustrating life during lockdown. She put out a call for writers to submit poems or short stories, based on her pictures. Stockport Storytellers rose to the challenge and submitted some which she has used. Sales from her book are being donated to Arts for Recovery in the Community, based at the Hat Works.

There will be an exhibition by ARC, including some of Amanda's pictures and Stockport Storytellers poems at Stockport War Memorial Art Gallery from 1.00 p.m. on 24th September, so why not call in? Amanda will be there to personally sign your copy of her book for you.

Her story is here on this website.
